Facility summary
Key future considerations
- Well-maintained facility.
- Covered, warm water pool provides multiple activity opportunities. However, the conflicting water temperature between lap swimming and program activities limits full optimisation. This will be rectified following Council’s planned investment into a new, separate learn-to-swim pool.
- Toddlers pool is non-contemporary and not overly inviting. This will be rectified following Council’s planned investment into a new Splash Pad.
- Good physical location in close proximity to the CBD and adjacent to school and major sports park.
- Mid-range catchment size.
- The largest visitor draw comes from Edmonton, followed directly from within Gordonvale.
- Below average annual visitation and catchment multiple.
- Highest cost per visit, with the exception of Babinda.
